Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving holiday. We are pleased to announce that Wee Meng Teh has been elected as MCS’s Vice Principal. Below please find the additional announcements for this week.  – 本週值班家庭(上下課搖鈴，學校秩序維護)/ 

Parent(s) on Duty:

Duties:
1. Ring the bell at the beginning and the end of the class2. Maintain school order. Keep students in order and safe during recess3. Keep all classrooms clean and tidy.** If parents are unable to fulfill their obligations, please arrange the back-ups accordingly

– Two events for this week:  

Event 1: Kick-Off Meeting for Chinese New Year Celebration Planning (Host: The Chair of the Parents Association)

Event 2: (Tomorrow 1:30-3:30 p.m. @nearby MCS library area)

密西根舞獅隊邀請密西根中文學校一起參加社區公益活動，捐贈衣物及聖誕禮物給Brilliant Detroit (請見flyer) 。我們很難想像底特律有些家庭的父母因故缺席，造成孩子吃穿冏困、無法就學的困境。我們不能代他們的父母照顧這些孩子，但是我們可以捐贈出多餘的物資，給貧困的孩子一個希望，您就是從北極坐馴鹿來送禮物、帶來光亮的聖誕老人。

捐出的物品將會分裝給底特律低收入戶的孩子們，讓年幼的孩童穿戴暖和，有個溫暖的寒冬及快樂的聖誕節。請家長鼓勵學生收集整理於明日星期六帶來學校，放在借書櫃台旁的集裝箱，我們計畫在明天下午5:45左右捐出。

說明：Brillant Detroit 是底特律社區庇護中心，專門幫忙 0-8歲高需求家庭的幼童，輔導就學、照顧身心健康、提供穩定生活。

1. 衣物如下：0-8歲 全新/或穿過7成新（請檢查乾淨、完整）

Children’s winter clothing items we are seeking (can be new or gently used)

• Jackets
• Snow pants
• Snowsuits

• Mittens
• Winter hats
• Scarves
• Sweaters
• Fleeces
• Warm socks
• boots
• earmuffs

2. 徵召的玩具(種類如下圖)則要「全新」的，這些物品將被包裝成聖誕禮物，送給底特律低收入戶的孩子。

Delivery Date for pre-order food items is Dec 9th, 2023.
