學校通訊錄製作即將進入尾聲,請還沒進行通訊資料核對的家庭於明天抽空到教室區外面找文書組核對.

學校即將在12月9日舉辦點心義賣，點心義賣包含學校手藝很棒的家長料理烘培的點心小吃，與學校贊助店家商品預購. 因為疫情關係，食物均以預購為限，活動當天現場販售數量將非常有限，預購即日起開放登記至11月30號，於活動當天提領。請大家踴躍訂購，今年我們的目標是募集$1,000，所有收益將用於支持學校各項活動。另外，我們需要各位的協助使活動順利成功，請至以下連結登記活動義工.

11月25日感恩節假期，學校放假一周，預祝大家有個平安愉快的感恩節.

Hope this letter finds you well.  Below please find the announcements for this week.  There is no school next Sat (Nov 25, 2023) in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.  Happy Thanksgiving in advance!

Duties:   1. Ring the bell at the beginning and the end of the class2. Maintain school order. Keep students in order and safe during recess3. Keep all classrooms clean and tidy.** If parents are unable to fulfill their obligations, please arrange the back-ups accordingly- 2023-24 

通訊錄廣告徵求/ 2023-24 Sponsorship Ad Sign-Up (Due at 11/18)

   Note: first come first serve 聯絡贊助商家並負責收款的家長, 可獲得 $20 per full-page ad or $15 per half-page ad 的回饋. 必須在此 (Link) 預先登錄商家。商家的廣告版面, 請用電子檔在 11/18 前寄給 Yun Lee （Copy Ice Cai ） 通訊錄出刊後, 負責的家長可帶學校通訊錄給商家驗收 , 學校也會印製感謝狀送給商家.

密西根舞獅隊邀請密西根中文學校一起參加社區公益活動，捐贈衣物及聖誕禮物給Brilliant Detroit (請見flyer) 。我們很難想像底特律有些家庭的父母因故缺席，造成孩子吃穿冏困、無法就學的困境。我們不能代他們的父母照顧這些孩子，但是我們可以捐贈出多餘的物資，給貧困的孩子一個希望，您就是從北極坐馴鹿來送禮物、帶來光亮的聖誕老人🤶🎅。

捐出的物品將會分裝給底特律低收入戶的孩子們，讓年幼的孩童穿戴暖和，有個溫暖的寒冬及快樂的聖誕節。請家長鼓勵學生收集整理，11/18帶來學校，放在借書櫃台旁的集裝箱，我們將在12/2( Sat)捐出。

說明：Brillant Detroit 是底特律社區庇護中心，專門幫忙 0-8歲高需求家庭的幼童，輔導就學、照顧身心健康、提供穩定生活。

1. 衣物如下：0-8歲 全新/或穿過7成新（請檢查乾淨、完整）

Children’s winter clothing items we are seeking (can be new or gently used)

  • Jackets
  • Snow pants
  • Snowsuits
  • Gloves
  • Mittens
  • Winter hats
  • Scarves
  • Sweaters
  • Fleeces
  • Warm socks
  • boots
  • earmuffs

2. 徵召的玩具(種類如下圖)則要「全新」的，這些物品將被包裝成聖誕禮物，送給底特律低收入戶的孩子。

MCS Annual Food Sale Fundraiser – PRE-ORDER Only. Order NOW until 30-November, VERY LIMITED will be available on-site for Sale)It is time to help raise funds to support the MCS! Our goal is to raise $1,000+ net profit.
Due to COVID, food safety regulations, and the mandates by the church, the sale will predominantly be pre-order/pick-up. 
Pre-payment is requested with Zelle to MCS account (michiganchineseschool@gmail.com), cash, or check. Organizers also have Venmo and Paypal available if needed. 
Delivery Date for pre-order food items is Dec 9th, 2023.

1. Order Food Items

  • Consider buying a few items as gifts for the holidays or bringing to a holiday party
  • Share with friends and family, co-workers in the area who might be able to stop by the church or make arrangements with you
  • Some items are perishable, consider bringing a cooler bag on pick up day
  • Pre-payment is requested due to church rules – pay with Zelle, check, or cash
    • You will receive an email with the total amount from our organizers with instructions on how to pre-pay.

2. Sign-up to Volunteer to support the fundraiser – Volunteers are needed to

  • Pick up food from vendors (Novi, other)
  • Create order summaries for pick-up date
  • Organize and help distribute food items at pick-up stations

Items are priced to help raise funds for the school. Funds can go to support facility rental, teachers, cultural and community building programs, etc.
