本校特點

  1. 本校的上課地點為 Ward Church. 地址為: 40000 Six Mile Rd, Northville, MI 48168. 於每星期六下午1:30-3:30 PM上課兩個小時，3:30 -4:30一個小時為課外活動。
  2. 本校使用流傳全新版華語, 生活華語以及美洲華語等中文課本為主，輔以課外補充教材。
  3. 開設繁體中文班，提供華人及非華人家庭的孩子學習中國語文及文化的機會 。
  4. 課外活動，由專業人才授課，預計開設的課程包括、書法，兒童足球、繪畫，舞蹈等。
  5. 本校為向密西根州政府正式登記的非營利組織，不附屬於任何團體，除教師以外，所有職員均為義務工作人員。

班級現況

現有中文課幼兒班到高年級班和課外活動班。目前開放註冊的班級為: Pre-K (適合年滿四歲的學生); Kindergarten (適合年滿五歲的學生); 1st Grade; 2nd Grade; 3rd Grade; 4th Grade; 5th Grade; 6th Grade, 7thgrade, 8th Grade; 和 Senior Grade (9th Grade and above).

收費情形

每學生一學年學費430 美元，同一家庭的第二名學生400美元，第三名學生380美元。

Michigan Chinese School (MCS) provides support to the education of the Chinese language and culture with a racially non-discriminatory policy towards its students. The School is an equal opportunity employer with a policy of zero tolerance against discrimination on the basis of race, age, and sexual orientation with respect to admissions, use of facilities, faculty and scholarship. MCS is a non-profit organization registered with 501(c)(3) status, with the main objectives of teaching Chinese language, promoting Chinese culture and providing these related services to the general public. MCS was established in September 1998.

Currently, we offer classes for different grades: preschool, kindergarten, grades 1 through Senior Grade (9th Grade and above).

Each school year starts after Labor Day and ends mid-June totaling 32 school weeks. MCS meets Saturday’s from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Classes are conducted in Mandarin and students learn traditional Chinese characters as well as phonetic symbols and the Pin-Yin system. Optional extracurricular activities are provided after class. Activities vary but often include Dance, Arts, Choir, Lion Dance Team and more. MCS yearly holds a speech competition, and word recognition contest. Through these events, MCS hopes to promote students’ interest in learning Chinese as well as their appreciation of the Chinese Culture.

MCS also actively encourages its students to participate in major community events in the school’s vicinity. MCS not only stresses Chinese Language instruction, but it gives special emphasis to spreading Chinese culture as well. It asserts the importance of both the student’s academic achievement and their mental and physical well being. MCS provides local Chinese descendants with one of the best environments to learn Chinese culture, arts, and language. Tuition: $430 per student per school year, $400 for the 2nd student and $380 for the 3rd student and up in the same family.
