密西根中文學校 週報–MCS Newsletter (24) – 4/14/2018

April 12th 2018 in MCS Communication
Dear Michigan Chinese School Families,

The following items are the announcements this week:

1. URGENTLY Needing a Principal for Next School year–

As of now, we haven’t had any vice Principal for taking on the role for Principal of next school year. I have the great privileges to serve as the Principal this year, but due to my personal reason, I definitely will NOT be able to take the second year, not to mention that the second year is not meeting our by-laws. Since my term will be up by June 16th. MCS does need a lifesaver to step in to take this Principal role for next school year, to be exact by June 16th, 2018.

Be a lifesaver for our MCS, the school we all have a deep feeling to. Without a Principal in place, there will be no legit staff. The school function will be unprecedentedly crippled.
I have to admit that I fail to regain parents’ enthusiasm to serve, but I still have a deep hope to believe that all of us are not going to see this well-established school to be collapsed. so

NOW is the time for YOU to step forward to save the school. Yes, YOU.
2. Lock-down drill-4/14 (this Saturday)
Who: All Parents, all teachers, and all students
When: 4/14 2:20-2:30
Why: MCS is planning to conduct a lock-down drill in light of the recent incidents, ex. campus shooting.

Students who qualify to attend Inter-scholastic speech contest can register to Vicky Thomsen. She will be the one who collects the qualified student list and registers altogether to the host school (SMCS).

– The important change this year: In terms of the inter-scholastic registration fee, school this year only subsidizes $20 per student for the speech contest and $30 per group for the storytelling contest.
4. Special Thanks to
— Yeewei Loke donated food for Speech Contest Standby Room
— Jennifer Morikawa and Kelly Liu donated food for Speech Contest Playroom

5. 每週一句: 把事情變複雜很簡單,把事情變簡單很複雜。
